John Loftus
About a year ago the phone went in the shop...
“This is John Loftus calling from the North of Queensland, Malanda.”
“Michael,” he says, “I am trying hard to get at least one bottle of whisky from each working distillery. Can you help?”
Needless to say we have been helping!
John now has an enviable collection and it is a pleasure to hear John's 'north of England' accent on the phone, usually on a Saturday and he always starts with a "Hello Michael".
Other than whisky, John is a dedicated “Twitcher”, or ornithologist, and he recently was in need of a good dram after spending hours tramping around and on his knees looking for some rare bird.
“Bloody hard work you know Michael.”
However, he has a good collection of drams to act as a restorative after a day's bird watching!
