BenRiach

A beautiful example of the Benriach distillery style, this single cask selection offers lashings of fresh fruit salad and lime zest flavours, with plenty of orange and the classic peachy-honeyed the distillery is known for. The palate offers a viscous, honeyed and again peachy flavour, with a touch of dried tobacco.

This expression, distilled at Benriach and bottled by W.M Cadenhead's has been aged for twelve years and has been finished in an ex Sauternes cask. 

the nose is rather light, sweet and creamy, with notes of banana ice cream, fresh apples, custard cream biscuits and juicy apricots.

There is a distinct cask influence on the palate, with notes of soft white grapes, vanilla bean ice cream, freshly baked sponge cake and marzipan icing. 

There are notes of fresh warm buttery croissants, picked goosberries and once again marzipan on the finish.

This special release from Benriach is the first expression in a century to be produced entirely using barley malted from Benriach's historic floor maltings. This whisky has been matured in both bourbon and virgin oak barrels. This brings out notes of barley sugar, almond fudge, orchard apples, vanilla and honeyed pear. A long lasting finish is full of malty notes.

Produced by independent bottlers Elixir Distillers, this series forms part of a mutli-year release inspired by Shakespear's iconic play, Macbeth. Each bottling is named and inspired by one of the iconic characters of the play, and includes a label bearing the work of internationally renowned artist Sir Quentin Blake.

Selected from a small combination of casks from the Benriach distillery in Speyside, this 31 year old the beautiful, fragrant and scented qualities of Benriach. Quintessential in style, offering ripe orchard fruit, buttery apple pie and lashings of heather honey. A tropical note bursts through, with a savoury, earthy character that remains on the palate for a long time.

The Benriach distillery just near Longmorn in Speyside is famous for its fruity spirit - peaches, apricot and honey tones join banana and apples. The tasting notes from bottlers Hunter Laing & Co. speak of a complex and waxy mouthfeel, with a long and enjoyably drying finish.

BenRiach's most heavily peated whisky, this expression is matured in ex-bourbon and virgin American oak casks, bringing out a caramel and vanilla'd flavour that compliments the stewed fruit and warming intensity of peat smoke.

As part of the new range of Benriach, Rachel Barrie has reimagined the peated expressions under the name 'smoky'. The 10 years old is matured in a combination of Ex-Jamaican Rum, Ex-Bourbon, and Virgin oak barrels. Classically BenRiach, this has all sorts of fruitiness alongside the smoke, fresh, dried, baked.

This new expression of the 10 years old is matured in a combination of Ex-Bourbon, Sherry, and American virgin oak. This dram has a balance of classic fresh orchard fruit, honey, and toasted oak, with a tiny hint of smoke. BenRiach distillery rose to fame under the legendary Billy Walker (who now operates GlenAllachie distillery) when Billy sold BenRiach management passed to veteran blender Rachel Barrie.
