Ardnamurchan 'AD/ The Midgie' 2025 Release 48%

The latest limited edition release from Ardnamurchan is named in honour of the most miserable little creature to inhabit Scotland, the Midgie. Ardnamurchan's internally applied insect repellent was created from a selection of 50% ex-bourbon and 48% ex-port casks, with just a smidgie of ex-sherry too. To taste, this is a classic Ardnamurchan, buzzing with notes of Gammon ham with grilled pineapple, strawberry jam on a cracker and coconut macaroons. On the palate and finish, a salty, sweet then smoky character of sultanas, cocoa powder and woodfire smoke leaves you itching for another sip.
