Produced by independent bottlers Elixir Distillers, this series forms part of a mutli-year release inspired by Shakespear's iconic play, Macbeth. Each bottling is named and inspired by one of the iconic characters of the play, and includes a label bearing the work of internationally renowned artist Sir Quentin Blake.

Created from a selection of casks from the Glen Garioch distillery, this 31 year old offers the unique style that the distillery is famed for. Tropical fruits, golden syrup and nutmeg come to the fore, joining pencil shavings and a distinctive mineralic quality. There is a nutty and chewy aspect, with very dense oils and creamy sensations on the palate. A sensational example of Glen Garioch.

Only 130 bottles were yielded from a single barrel from the Glen Garioch for this very special 31 year old release. The Director of Elixir Distillers has hand-selected this cask, and writes the following evocative tasting notes:

In an old-fashioned ice cream parlour, the air is filled with such delights as home-made milk ice cream, fruity knickerbocker glories, trays of various jelly sweets to be chosen and gathered in paper bags. Waffle cones, toasted teacakes and ginger beer
ice cream floats. 

A gingery biscuit crumb-based cheesecake, adorned with chopped pieces of dark-chocolate-covered, crystalised stem ginger pieces, is served with a big scoop of Madagascan vanilla ice cream.

Soft, crumbly lemon-and-ginger cookies linger on the finish.

Chosen from a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel, this Glen Garioch shows off the unique profile of this complex Highland make. Very much a dram to be sipped and savoured, this takes time to fully develop in the glass.

Nose: Porridge with honey, peach, gauze, saltwater taffy, salted stroopwaffel, grist.

Palate: Lemon, blueberry, cinnamon, golden syrup, roasted parsnip, scone with clotted cream, ginger biscuit.

Finish: Medium-bodied, effervescent.
