Bunnahabhain 'Adelphi' 2009 / 10 years old #90021 58.8%
Product Description

Region: Islay

Strength: 58.8%

Volume: 700ml

This exceptional dark, ruby-coloured Bunnahabhain was matured in a first-fill sherry cask made from European oak, and it exemplifies the big, rich distillery style. The nose is big and striking, with lashings of nose-drying oak, molasses and Oxo cubes (beef stock), and further hearty notes of meat pie.A typical burnt toffee flavour develops, with bittersweet espresso crema, and dark chocolate. A heavy and grippy mouthfeel carries fig and date chutney fruityness and burnt buttered toast. Adelphi are famed for their sherry Bunnahabhain's, and this is their first release from the distillery for some time.
