When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

With your permission, we (Whisky Galore) may send you emails about our store, new products, whisky tastings and other updates relevant to our business - you may opt out of any newsletter sent by Whisky Galore by simply clicking the unsubscribe link present in every newsletter we send.


When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction by placing an order, we use this information to process your payment through our dedicated payment gateway provider(s) (DPS / Payment Express and Shopify). The name, physical address and phone number (where applicable) is passed onto our couriers (Post Haste) so that delivery can be made to your requested address. No other information about you or your order is passed on to any other parties not directly involved in the processing of your order.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. If you choose to pay by credit card, your payment details are fully encrypted and secured by Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) certified services. The PCI-DSS standard is managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

For credit cards orders made online, at no time do staff at Whisky Galore or its host (Shopify) see or store your full credit card number or CSV2 number in plaintext.

By solely using PCI-DSS compliant services for this website, we have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the security of your credit card details.
