This secret single malt comes from a distillery situated on the Isle of Orkney, if you flip a coin, you’ll be close to being correct on which distillery this spirit is from. Distilled in the year 2000 and matured for 20 years in a single hogshead. Fresh sea spray opens the nose, fragrant heather, hay, toasted fruit bread and chilli-infused honey. The palate has soda bread, burnt bread rolls, crumpets covered in honey, Dundee cookies, chilli dipping oil, white tea and treacle tart. Chewy lemon honey lozenges on the finish. A complex venture.
