Ardmore 'Signatory' 2010 / 11 years old 46%

From one of the few Highland distilleries almost entirely producing peated whisky, this 11-year-old Ardmore from Signatory offers a lovely balance of sweetness, spices and smoke. Charged from three ex-bourbon barrels, this complex dram opens with soft, clean smoke, peanut oil, and hints of poached fruits, before developing into fresh melon and hearty, baked cereals. Chewy caramel and wood embers resonate in the finish, with whispers of pepper and cumin.
