Benriach 'Infrequent Flyers' 2011 / 11 years old 57.2%

Hailing from the Benriach distillery, this 11 year old shows the strong influence of its finishing cask, a ruby port puncheon. An intriguing combination of strawberry milkshake and marzipan, with a hint of Vimto. Warm buttered popcorn also makes an appearance. Creamy and soft; fruity and super tangy - Maoams and Opal Fruits (Google it)… A fruit basket of cranberries, blood orange, peaches and apricots, with a touch of stewed raisins. Vibrant and lively; very spicy towards the end.
