Bunnahabhain 'North Star' 2010 / 11 years old 52.3%

This expression from the famed Bunnahabhain distillery has seen a full maturation in a former Sherry Butt for 11 years. Bunnahabhain distillery is unusual for an Islay distillery in that it traditionally produces an unpeated 'highland' style. This expression is a classic of the distillery style with gingerbread, raisins, and vanilla on the nose. The palate is full and richly confection-like with Scots tablet and treacle, a touch of roasted coffee in the finish.
