Toiteach (pronounced toch-chach) means 'smoky' in Gaelic. Unlike the classic distillery style, this whisky is made from heavily peated barley. to taste there is a big burst of maritime peat smoke that leads into an oily, sweet taste with hints of pepper and a rich fruity, nutty flavour from the use of ex-Oloroso sherry casks.
