Caol Ila 'Murray McDavid' 12 years old 52.3%

The 'Benchmark' range from Murray Mc David explores whisky finished in a range of casks that previously held fine wines and spirits. This expression is from Caol Ila and was finished for eighteen months in Stout Casks from the Wild Beer Co. 

On the nose there are notes of Salted Caramel and smoky beeswax, joined with notes of dark chocolate, sea salt and dry malt on the palate, with a long smoky finish.
