Caol Ila 'Reserve Casks' 8 years old Parcel #9 48%

A small batch of six American oak standard barrels from Caol Ila Distillery have been used to create this Islay Single Malt, distilled in 2014 and aged for eight years. This is a fresh and smoky whisky, reminiscent of bonfires at the seaside. Sweet, smoky and maritime, it is immediately reminiscent of lemons and limes grilled over a peaty fire, with ginger and salty liqourice tones adding heat and spice.
