Situated at Ballindalloch in Speyside, the Cragganmore distillery is one of the most famous in the region, known for its inclusion in the 'Classic Malts' series. Though it is well known, there are very few bottlings of it outside of the standard 12 year old, making this 26 year old single cask selection from Hunter Laing & Co. a rarefied treat. Filled from a single ex-sherry butt, this is a classic of the style - richly fruity and chocolatey, with spice and a very soft hint of peat. A twang of sage follows these wood-dominant flavours, leading out on more fruit and a full, woody finish.
