Distilled at Craigellachie in 2012, this incredibly high-strength bottling from Signatory Vintage was selected from a first fill ex-sherry cask. Coming in at 68.2%, this is a very powerful dram, and not just in strength. There is a dense richness of blackberry compote, caramel sauce on top of vanilla ice cream and a slightly smoky, leathery tone. A loud crack of mace, clove and spice brings a constant presence of heat and warmth. Enjoy as you please, but the addition of water here is highly recommended with something this robust.
