Perhaps one of Scotland's more difficult single malt whiskies to pronounce (dal-u-ayn), Dailuaine is an old distillery that remains a critical component in the Johnnie Walker family of blends, meaning its bottling as a malt by itself is most uncommon. This release from bottlers Gordon & MacPhail was matured in a combination of refill sherry butts and Hogsheads, giving it a dried fruit (raisins, orange peel) and nutty flavour, as well as tropical notes of ripe banana, mango and a suggestion of milk chocolate in the finish.

Dailuaine, pronouced 'Dal-u-ayn', was founded in 1852 and is located close to the town of Aberlour. Official bottlings are rarely seen as this malt plays a very important role in Johnnie Walker blended whisky.
