The Edradour distillery calls this new bottling a Cuvee, a marriage of the unpeated Edradour and heavily peated Ballechin. Filled from a single sherry cask combined with 3 ex-bourbon casks of the peated spirit, this dram brings together flavours of rich dried fruit and sooty smoke. The nose is scented with peat smoke and dark, slightly burnt toffee and a note of cooked cherries (cherry pie). The palate is big and rounded, bringing together the fruit and smoke, lingering on smoky, drying, oaky finish.
