This bottling is a real treat, a single cask from the first new distillery in Glasgow for 100 years. The originally named 'Glasgow Distillery' is one of a handful of new distilleries in the Lowlands of Scotland which are part of a revival of the formerly extensive region. The distillery is producing at least two styles; a traditional Lowland style which is delicate and floral, as well as an unusual peated one. This expression being of the unpeated variety showcases classic Lowland sweetie shop character alongside ex-sherry cask richness. On the nose it's rich with sweet spiciness, on the palate a cocunut and toasted nutty sweetness arrives, with dried fruits appearing on the finish.
