The Glen Grant distillery was the first to be built in the town of Rothes, situated in the heart of the Speyside region in the north east of Scotland. Selected and bottled from a single ex-sherry butt, this is a whisky showing the great balance of wood maturation and a well developed distillate character. Bruised apples, hessian, orange zest and aged desert wine notes swirl around, with this theme continuing on to the palate. The oak never overpowers or dominates, allowing a touch of wood smoke, fresh fruit and more of a 'classy old distillate' profile to shine through. Bottled at natural strength of 54.4%.
