This Glen Grant was distilled in 1985 for 35 years in a single refill hogshead cask. Bottled at 55.5% and producing only 183 bottles worldwide. Regarded as being a whisky which ages well, this Glen Grant from Douglas Laing’s 'Xtra Old Particular' range is a perfect example of that, showing its signature light and fresh character, along with more robust and decadent surroundings. Waves of freshly ground coffee on the nose, spicy oak, mocha, raspberries and dark toffee. The palate matches the nose well, chocolate-coated raisins meet with buttery brioche and ginger, ending on stewed plums, orange zest and a fresh pot of coffee.
