This expression, distilled at Glenburgie and bottled by Douglas Laing & co has been bottled from a single refill Hogshead cask. A rather rare expression, independently bottled Glenburgie is about all we see of the distillery in Single Malt form. The nose is rather fruit forward, with notes of ripened soft Autumn fruits and damp oak. The palate is lovely, thick and creamy, with notes of fresh home baked cakes, crisp fresh apples and rich sugary syrup. The finish is long and sweet, but distinctly spiced. reminecnet of a classic hot toddy.
