Distilled in 1973, this single cask, cask-strength bottling is from the 2nd 'Rare Cask' releases from the Glenglassaugh distillery. Bottled after 42 years of maturation, the latter part of this whiskies life was spent in a cask of the Crimean wine producer, Massandra. This coastal Highland malt explodes with sweet red fruit flavours (rasberry in particular), ginger biscuit spice and intense jammy flavours. Bottled just in time at a natural strength of 40.5%, this is a wonderful example of the aromatic and complex Glenglassaugh style.
Due to the limited nature of this release (just 4 bottles came to New Zealand), this is restricted to one per customer
