This 23 year old Glenmorangie marks the oldest release of whisky bottled from casks made with the distillery's own oak grown in Missouri, USA. These casks were seasoned with bourbon for four years and then used to mature Glenmorangie in 1996. The nose is fresh, floral and perfumed, with a herbaceous note reminiscent of coriander. The palate is immediately zesty with oranges and lemons, balaned with a gentle vanilla fudge sweetness. There is a warming ginger spice and subtle okay notes leading into a delicate finish.
