The only one of it's kind available in New Zealand, this stunning 40 year old release is one the oldest whisky ever to be bottled from the Glenrothes distillery in Speyside. Created over four decades, this rare single malt is a snapshot of liquid history, maturing in cask since December 1978. It is some of the last remaining spirit from the original Glenrothes stills before they were retired, marking the end of an era for the distillery and highlighting the rarity of this expression. Deep ruby in colour, it boasts aromas of orange oil, peach, cedar wood and almond. Flavours of sultanas, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spicy, with orange peel and oak tannins on the finish. Presented in a stunning wooden display case, this is one of only 594 bottles.
