Jura 'Cadenhead' 12 years old 46%

Though originally founded in the 1810, Jura distillery was rebuilt in 1963 and has since been a staple distillery amongst those who enjoy hearty, coastal drams. This 12-year-old from Cadenhead charged from Manzanilla sherry casks is just that, opening with a nose of tropical fruit, vanilla cake and hickory wood chunks. The palate brings notes of burnt marshmallow, applewood cheese and braised beef and a finish bursting with juicy prunes, raisins, dried mango, and a wonderful, lasting oiliness.
