Made entirely from barley grown at the distillery, this is the 10th release of Kilchoman's famous '100% Islay' series. This limited edition was made from a combination of optic and publican barley grown at Rockside Farm, floor malted and lightly peated. There is great depth to this whisky, the age and lower peating level let the spirit character shine - initially floral- fruity sweetness that develops to become richer on the palate. The mouthfeel is full, carrying soft maritime smoke that has a creamy quality to it, lifted by a tangy lemon-zest flavour. Made by the Wills family and their small team, this series embodies the traditions, history and craft of Scotch Single Malt Whisky.
