Laphroaig 25 years old 48.9%

Aged for a quarter of a century in a combination of ex-Oloroso sherry butts and ex-Bourbon barrels this mellow single malt Scotch has the distinctive flavour of Laphroaig. Peat smoke with a medicinal edge is complimented by the creamy vanilla flavours from the American oak and spiced apple from the sherry casks. Bottled at cask strength it is a dram with a long and warming finish that lingers. Beatifully smooth, it is a real treat for Laphroaig purists and certainly a dram with savouring.
