The whisky produced at Linkwood Distillery is, for the most part, used for blending and so it is always exciting to see it independently bottled. The distillery works with a long fermentation time giving the whisky aromatic and grassy aromas and this bottling showcases that beautifully. The nose is fragrant with freshly cut hay and malted barley with a sweet note of butterscotch. The palate has a lovely oily textures with flavours of barley sugars and under-ripe pears. Fresh notes of red apple and celeria are joined by a soft peppery spice.
