This bold Loch Lomond from Cadenhead was matured for a total of 17 years, with a final maturation period in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. Filled with the peated spirit of the distillery (known as 'Inchfad'), it has notes of burning BBQ coals and dripping salty soy sauce, the latter showing the strong sherry cask influence. The robust meaty character continues to taste, with spare ribs smothered in sweet BBQ sauce, honey glazed ham and cigar smoke coming through. Savoury, sweet and with a rounded smokyness, this lingers on dark chocolate and fruits soaked in rum.
