Product Description

Region: Islay

Strength: 53.5%

Volume: 500ml

Lp8 is the latest release from the Elements of Islay series, distilled at the world famous Laphroaig distillery on Islay. This cask-strength bottling is from three ex-Madeira casks that were filled with spirit in 1998 and then bottled in 2017. The aroma is distinctily and clasically Laphroaig - briney, tarry and medicinal notes are mixed with fruity tones of prune, blood orange and dates. To taste, the peat smoke is sooty and earthy, draped in zesty grapefruit, dry spices and dark chocolate with lime. The finish is long, medicinal again with salted mackerel notes.
