This Mortlach has been finished ex Kanosuke Japanese Whisky Casks, and ex Pinot Noir casks
The result is a rather fruity and spicy nose for Mortlach, with elements of ripe pears and melon along with notes of boiled sweets and savoury notes of leather and spice. A splash of water introduces drier notes of almonds and wood shavings.
The Palate is rich, matching fruitiness with savoury undertones and drying spice. A Touch of water helps balance the spice and develop the sweeter notes.
