Produced at the long defunct North of Scotland distillery in Tullibody, Alloa in the Lowlands, this whisky is the first and only official distillery bottling from the distillery. North of Scotland's founding goes back to 1957 where it was built by the Christie family, remaining in their control until the disitllery closed its doors in 1980. This bottling was created from six casks, sold to a friend of the family in 1964, bottled after 50 years of maturation. This is the only official bottling from North of Scotland, and shows the extraordinary elgenace, finesse and subtlety that can be found in well-aged grain whisky.
