Ruadh Mhor is the name that Glenturret gives to its peated spirit. This expression is a seven year old single cask example, aged in a refil Hogshead with a PX sherry cask finish. The nose is thick and oily, like a well run classic car. The palate is rather heavy and meaty, notes of smoked, salty red meat and sweet spicy glazed pork chops. Dry ashy tobacco smoke rounds of the finish on this dram, lingering like an ashtray of freshly stubbed out Cuban Cigars.
