Distilled in the spring of 1987 at what is arguably the most beautiful distillery in Scotland, this single cask, cask strength bottling hails from the great Strathisla. With just 161 bottles yielded from the refill American oak hogshead cask, this is a rare gem showing the flavours found in the great whiskies of Speyside. Zesty and rich fruit combinations of pears, banana and citrus join deeper notes of cocoa powder, milk chocolate and coconut. Sweet and bitter dried grapefruit joins a notable ginger and toasted wood spice, the 33 years of maturation showing great character of wood.
