Teaninich 'Signatory' 2008 / 13 years old 46%

The Teaninich distillery is located north of Inverness and is one of a number of distilleries whose output is almost entirely reserved for blending purposes. The style of whisky is generally on the lighter side - refill casks and American oak maturation draw out a vanilla, apple and sugary quality. This release from Signatory is 12 years old, showing this style well, with marshmallow and beeswax coming through on the palate as well.
