Teerenpeli is Finland’s largest whisky distillery, producing a range of single malts on the outskirts of the city of Lahti. This expression from BBR has been charged from an Oloroso hogshead distilled in 2013, and offers a beautiful nose of tangy barbeque sauce and sticky date pudding drizzled in honey. An oily silkiness coats the mouth as flavours of orange peel, caramel sauce and honey-roasted nuts arise. The waxiness of the palate carries through to the finish, with a trail of cinnamon close behind.
