Aberfeldy 'North Star' 2014 / 7 years old 57.8%

A rare indpendently bottled Aberfeldy, this 7 year old comes from ex-Oloroso sherry Hogshead. The nose is rather warm and funky, with warm rubbery notes, colliding with sweet strawberry confection. To taste, it is reminisent of rich hot chocolate on a cold winter's evening , rich vanilla ice cream and soft fruits. The finish is long and mellow, warming and sweet.
