This package contains a one-years membership to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, and a delightful bottle of 78.63 'Seriously Big Flavours' 9 years old 59.5%.

This whisky is from a distillery located in the Highlands near Fort William. Intially matured in an ex-bourbon hogshead for 6 years, this dram was then transferred into a second fill Oloroso hogshead. Aromas of apple and tobacco lift from the glass, with bramble liqueur poured over rum and raisin ice cream. The palate is full of spice, with a grilled meaty edge and a hint of sesame oil. The taste shifts to a sweeter note, with hazelnut chocolate spread ( Nutella ) on toast, dark chocolate and sour cherries. A cracking, big flavoursome dram!
