Made with malted barley and malted rye, this malted rye has been matured in American oak casks that have air dried for 36 months. There are notes of ginger, stone fruit and baked apple pie with a fresh herbal finish that lingers on the palate.
Made from a combination of apera (sherry) cask, ex-bourbon casks and Archie Rose’s own 36-month air-dried ex-rye casks. There are notes of herbs, shortbread biscuits, raisins, toffee and dark chocolate on the nose. The palate offers notes of sticky date pudding and amaretto with a final note of espresso.
This whisky from Overeem Distillery has been matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 60%. The nose is creamy and rich with gentle notes citrus, vanilla and coconut. Charred pineapple, vanilla, soft oak and bannana are all notes found on the palate. The finish is uplifting with notes of summer cocktails.
From Overeem distillery in Tasmania, this whisky has been maturing in Sherry casks and bottled at 60% abv. The nose has notes of charred oak, dark chocolate, cinnamon and Christmas cake. The palate develops into notes of maple syrup, caramel and shaved almonds. Notes of stewed dried fruits, cocoa and lightly toasted almonds are found on the finish.
This release 'Fortis' comes from Australian distillery Starward. This whisky has been maturing in American Oak barrels which have then held Barossa Valley shiraz and cabernet wine. This whisky has notes of Madagascan vanilla pods, blackberry jam, raisins, and caramelised figs. The palate starts of with vanilla notes, quince paste, and raisins. It the develops into notes of chocolate, cinnamon and banana bread.
This whisky is from the acclaimed Australian distillery Starward, and marks a rare collaboration between Scottish and Australian whisky makers. Originally matured in the distillery's classic ex-red wine barrels, it was finished for 18 months in casks that previously held Lagavulin from the Isle of Islay in Scotland. A chorus of fresh red fruits and berries joins chocolate and toffee, and the unmistakable scent and flavour of sea-salty peat smoke.
From Starward distillery, this Australian single malt was matured in small octave barrels that previously held The Octavius Shiraz from Yalumba. Notes of apples, rhubarb, plums, star anise, honey, and sultanas are found on the nose. There are notes of sweetness, orange peel, orange and uplifitng mint on the palate.
From Starward Distillery, this whisky has originally been maturing in red wine casks and has then been transferred to casks that originally held peated whisky,. The nose has notes of tropical fruits, toasted oak and a hint of peat. Ripe fruits, gentle peat and mocha. The finish is slightly drying with a long peaty finish.
This is a special release from Australian distillery Starward has been named in celebration of starwards founder David Vitale. Six parcels of whiskies where selected from a range of casks and barrels including tawny, bourbon, apera and rum. These have been matured between four and ten years. There are notes of raisin, chocolate-coated pineapple, chewy coffee and ceda. The finish is long and oily with fruit ad oak.
From Tasmanian distillery Overeem, this whisky has been matured in port casks. Notes of salted caramel, creme brulee, rum soaked raisins and Turkish delight are all found on the nose. These notes develop into gentle notes of toasted marshmallows, butterscotch and sweet malt. the finish is long and lingering with sweet pudding notes.
