The team at Whisky Galore are proud to present this unique offering from the Daftmill distillery in Scotland. This single cask release was chosen exclusively for New Zealand by brothers Francis & Ian Cuthbert, and was made from barley grown at their farm in Cupar, Fife. With an annual production of less than 100 barrels a year, Daftmill is one of Scotland's smallest and most sought-after distilleries.

Cask 055, distilled in 2011 is made from Publican barley, harvested in 2009 and malted at Alloa in 2010. This Daftmill has a rich scent of citrus peels and oils, with floral honey and a syrupy medley of tropical fruits both tinned and fresh.  This delicate and complex fruit character gives way to barley tones of buttery brioche and a mouth-filling, rounded oily texture. This dance of citrus and barley flavours is what defines Daftmill as a modern classic - one of Scotland's greatest Lowland distilleries.

Produced by the team behind Glenturret distillery, Aberturret is a brand-new Scottish gin, made from 14 different botanicals in the traditional London Dry style. Juniper and a medley of citrus fruits take center stage, with locally foraged sumac and chamomile adding floral tones, with licorice, peppercorn and pine needle adding earthy, herbal notes. Presented in a Lalique crystal designed bottle.

Launched in 1968 as the first distillery expression of cask strength whisky, Glenfarclas' 105 has always been made by balancing a selection of ex-sherry casks, whose combined natural strength is exactly 60% ABV - 105 British proof. This new limited edition 105 has been made from casks that have matured for 16 years, with the classic Glenfarclas flavours of butterscotch, lashings of Christmas spices and rich, long-lasting dried fruit and woody tones.

This outturn, bottled by Murray McDavid sees spirit from Benrinnes distillery married with a selection of Twany Port Barriques.

There are notes of summer orchard fruits, fresh pastry, floral malt and rich chocolate to be found in this dram.

This outturn, bottled by Murray McDavid sees spirit from Croftengea distillery with a selection of Madeira and Port Barriques. 

The result is an abundance of notes of Hickory smoked BBQ sauce, tropical fruits and wafts of lingering peat smoke.

This outturn, bottled by Murray McDavid sees spirit from Inchgower distillery married with Madeira wine barriques. 

The madeira casks compliment the spicy and fruity nature of Inchgower's spirit, bringing notes of sweet orchard fruits, honied cereal, rich chocolate, with a warming finish of sweet spicy oak.

This outturn, bottled by Murray McDavid sees spirit from Tullibardine married with a selection of Pedro Ximinnez and Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez in Spain. The sherry casks impart a nutty, spicy and syrupy influence to the light, fruity and malty character of Tullibardine's spirit.

There are notes of rich stewed fruitsm creamy malt, dustings of cocoa powder, hazelnut praline and citrus.

This bottling hails from Strathmill Distillery and has been finished in a selection of ex Bourbon, Rye, four grain Whiskey and Oat Whiskey casks from Koval distillery in Chicago.

On the nose there are aromas of Spiced Pear, sweet apple and vanilla'd oak

To taste there are notes of Bright citrus, barley sugars and a slight grassy notes with a mellow oaky and slightly biuttersweet finish.

The 'Benchmark' range from Murray Mc David explores whisky finished in a range of casks that previously held fine wines and spirits. This expression is from Caol Ila and was finished for eighteen months in Stout Casks from the Wild Beer Co. 

On the nose there are notes of Salted Caramel and smoky beeswax, joined with notes of dark chocolate, sea salt and dry malt on the palate, with a long smoky finish.

This expression of Blair Athol is part of Murray McDavid's 'Benchmark' range and has been matured in a range of first fill ex Twany Port and Maidera barriques.

On the nose there are aromas of fresh berries, buttery malt and sweet nuts, joineds with notes of cherries, peppery malt and floral honey on the palate, with a chocalatey and sweet, spicy finish.

This expression from Benriach distillery is part of Murray McDavid's 'Benchmark' range and has been finished for three years in Hungarian Tokaji wine Barriques, amrrying perfectly wioth Benriach's vibrant, fruit forward spirit.

On the nose there are aromas of dried pears, tropical fruit and blossom, joined with notes of bright citrus, cereal and spicy oak on the palate, with a sweet, malty and floral finish.

Part of Signatory's all new 'Small Batch' series, this expression of Aberfeldy has been selected from a range of ex Oloroso sherry casks. There is a lovely combination of both light and dark fruits, with notes of peaches as well as sultanas, cherries and vibrant red fruits. This fruitiness is balanced with notes of cedar wood, cocoa powder and hints of waxiness.

Part of Signatory's all new 'Small Batch' series, this bottling of Caol Ila has been matured in a selection of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks. There are expected notes of rich sherried tones, colliding with Caol Ila's signature coastal, meaty and oily nature, think of salty cured meats, coastal bonfire smoke, sweet nuts, tanned leather and hints of dried fruits.

Part of Signatory's all new 'Small Batch' series, this bottling of Aberlour has been bottled from a selection of ex Oloroso Sherry casks. it reads very typical of the Aberlour style, with notes of hedgrow fruits, mulled wine spiciness, and hints of dried fruits, leather and old oak along with jammy sweetness.

The second expression of Longmorn we have recently seen from Signatory's 'Symington's Choice' selection. This expression was bottled from a single first fill ex Oloroso cask.  From colour alone the cask influence is evident, there are expected notes of rich chocolate, stewed fruits and gentle spice along with zesty citrus oil, and touches of floral honey.

This expression of sinle cask Edradour is a part of Signatory's 'Symington's Choice' collection and has been bottled after much time in a single first fill Oloroso cask for 23 years.  Edradour is known for producinng some wonderful examples of Sherry cask maturation, and this in house independent bottling is no exception. There are notes of rich red fruits galore, sticky boozy rasins, old leather, vibrant spice and dark chocolate coated almonds.

There are resious notes of pine needles and sap, along with delicate heather honey, vibrant citrus peel, boozy sherried dark fruits, fresh herbs and black forest gateau.

Part of Signatory's new '100 proof' collection, this bottling of Glentauchers was matured in a selection of first fill Oloroso casks for twelve years. There are notes of sweet yellow fruits, stewed sultanas, floral honey, rich chocolate and sweet oak, burned sugars and honeycomb.  

Part of Signatory's new '100 proof' collection, thia vibrant Ben Nevis is a rare example of the distillery's peated stock. bottled from a range of refil ex Olorso casks, there are notes of sweet peat smoke, bold spicy marmalade, fire roasted nuts, industrial coal smoke and hints of earthiness. 

Produced by the famous Williams & Humbert Bodega in Jerez, Spain, this sherry is made with Fino grapes, offering the quintessential dry and nutty flavour profile. The balanced acidity is carried on a full bodied mouthfeel, best paired with cheese, ham or seafood.

Made with a combination of Pedro Ximenez and Palomino grapes, this sherry starts of with notes of salted and oily nuts, with little acid and slightly sweet. This style of sherry is traditionally served as an aperitif or to accompany pasta dishes.

This sweet, sticky sherry has been made with raisin-dried Pedro Ximenez grapes, it offers notes of raisins, figs and dense Christmas cake and walnuts. This low acidity and residual sugars of 380g/l makes this an ideal dessert wine to be served alongside cheese.

A traditional 'cream' style of sherry, produced combining Palomino and Pedro Ximenez grapes that are made in an Oloroso style. Sweet and raisiny to start with brown sugar flavours drier, nutty elements. Traditionally served neat on ice or as a cool long drink.

Our first ever expression from the White Peak distillery in Derbyshire, this Adelphi selection comes from a single ex-red wine barrique and offers an ecclectic range of flavours.  Adelphi describe a wide variety of flavours from creamy nougat through to vegetable stock and sundried tomatoes. This intriguing flavour continues, with soy sauce and heathery moss, finishing with licorice logs and a touch of Korean BBQ.
