Glenturret have introduced a new and exciting whisky as part of their core range for 2022. The Glenturret 7 years Old Peat Smoked has been matured in sherry seasoned American oak casks and also in refill casks, bringing confectionery sweetness and lively smoke character. An abundance of smoke opens on the nose, with dried fruits and fresh orchid fruits. The palate has a lovely earthiness due to the peating process, warming smoke flows through to zesty citrus fruits, apples, pears and butterscotch sauce. Smouldering smoke meets with oak spice on the finish.
