Benriach 'The Sixteen' 16 years old 43%

This 16 year old whisky from Benriach has been maturing in three types of casks, bourbon, sherry and virgin oak. The nose has notes of baked apple, creamy hazelnut malt, ginger spice and honey. The palate offers spiced stewed apples, stone fruits, mellow oak, honeyed malt and candiead peel. There is a very subtle hint of smoke in the background.
