The tiny sea-side village of Campbeltown was once regarded as "The Whisky Capital of the World" due to the number of distilleries based there. Today, the three remaining distilleries produce some of the most sought-after and characterful whiskies in Scotland, known for their distinctive coastal influence and complexity, often with a signature 'foosty', earthy quality.
