Whiskies of The Lowlands

Beginning just north of Glasgow and Edinburgh and extending south to the Scottish/English border, the Lowlands are home to both old, and in recent years, a proliferation of new distillers. Traditionally, Lowland single malt whisky can be light in style, often with delicate citrus and grassy tones, with some richer and peated expressions now more commonly found as well.
