Glenfarclas 'Family Cask' 2007 / 16 years old #2670 59.9%

Distilled in 2007, this brand new Glenfarclas Family Cask continues the distillery's tradition of selecting stand-out casks from their incredible warehouses. Cask #2670 was a 500 litre refill ex-sherry butt, matured until the 1st of August 2024. The term refill means that it was used once before to age Glenfarclas, and combined with the slightly paler colour of this whisky, this shows a less intense maturation, allowing for a more spirit-forward profile than usual, with less wood and more subtle tones of peach, pear and orange coming through.
