Longrow is the name given to the peated whisky made at the Springbank distillery. The aroma starts with creamy desiccated coconut, white pepper and a hint of salty brine, with the peat smoke lingering in the background. Sweet and incredibly oily on the palate, it becomes peppery and dry on the finish, with smouldering peat bonfire smoke and a musty, earthy spice. The peat smoke found in Longrow is very balanced and integrated, making it very well suited to those looking to bridge the gap between an unpeated mainland and heavily peated Islay style.
