The Highland region of Scotland is in terms of area, the biggest whisky producing region. It extends from the Orkney Islands in the far North, down to just above Edinburgh and Glasgow. The Highland region currently has around 39 active and producing distillery along with several defunct distilleries that have closed over the years. The Highland style incredibly diverse, traversing from light, delicate and floral flavours through to the hearty and robust style many associate with this part of the country.

Located just outside of Stirling in the Highlands of Scotland, the whisky made at Deanston has an aroma of barley and slightly floral with hints of nuts and buttered popcorn. The palate is malty and honeyed with a hint of smoke in the background. A good every-day single malt.

This 18 year old Deanston has been matured in Hogsheads before a finishing period in 1st fill former Kentucky Bourbon barrels which produces a soft and approchable dram with sweet vanilla, honey and toffee flavours.
