Triple distilled at the Midleton Distillery on Ireland's south coastal county of Cork, the Greenspot is 100% Pot Still whiskey which has been produced for the Mitchell family since 1887. It is named such after the family practice of marking particularly good barrels for each of their expressions with different coloured 'spots' of paint to denote their age and quality. It boasts a fresh and aromatic nose with sweet spice, orchard fruits and toasted wood. Full bodied on the palate with fragrant cloves, honey, toffee and creamy vanilla. A spicy soft dram with a long barleyed finish. This is a great introduction to the Irish Pot still style.
