Kilkerran is the name given to the whisky produced at the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown at the southern reaches of the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland. Re-opened in 2004 by J&A Mitchell & Co., proprietors of the Springbank distillery. Kilkerran's style of distinctly 'Campbeltown', with an earthy, old-warehouse character referred to Scots as being 'foosty'. Operational only part of the year, Glengyle's whisky is not always available due to limited supply.
