Bunnahabhain 'Gordon & MacPhail' 2009 56.8%

An unpeated expression from Bunnahabhain distillery on Islay, this outturn has spent fifteen years in a single first fill Sherry Hogshead before being bottled at the cask's strength of 56.8%. Aromas of freshly baked fruitcake lead the nose, leading on to cinnamon spice and zested oranges. Ripe red summer fruits leap out on the palate, combining with rich milk chocolate and cranberries. The finish is long and fruity, with underlying tones of spice and menthol.
